Build My Future – Information for Schools

Please note: Attendance is limited to pre-registered schools only. 
Event is from 9 AM – 2 PM on October 8th, 2024
For most groups, 3 hours would be plenty of time for students to engage with the exhibits, but you’re welcome to stay as long as you’d like during the event.

Who Should Attend Build My Future?

  • Build My Future is open to all students in grades 9 – 12.
  • Female students are strongly encouraged to attend Build My Future. There are a lot of opportunities now and in the future for females in the construction industry.
  • If a student has attended in the past, they are welcome to attend again, but we do not want them to be bored or a distraction to other students. Many activities at the event will be similar year to year.
  • Remember that this is an event specifically for the construction industry. There will not be other industries showcased.
  • Consider sending students that excel in math, science and business. Students engaged in the FBLA and/or FFA programs are encouraged to attend.

Lunch & Food Allergies

  • Lunch will be served. Individuals with other allergies and/or food needs will need to bring their lunch.
  • Bottled water & water fountains will be available throughout the day for attendees.
  • Please notify students that food delivery companies will not be allowed access to the event facility. We have had challenges in the past with food delivery services.
